units, now in piloting, include a unit plan with teacher instructional
guide, student guided portfolios, resource kits, tool kits,
and a learning resources bookshelf. Standards matrices helps
teachers address New Jersey and National math, science, and
technology standards. Teacher instructional guides describe
how to adapt activities for different populations, and provides
hints for managing design-based learning.
Units are designed
to model ways in which industry activities can be interpreted
for elementary themes. While based on New Jersey businesses,
he hope that teachers will adapt and modify the units to reflect
local businesses and increase relevance for their students.
