Charge from Industry to Education. |
| In
an amendment to the Children Designing and Engineering Project,
the National Science Foundation awarded additional funds to
sponsor a conference between corporate representatives and educators.
The following is a summary of the conference and predicted outcomes. |
| January
20, 2000 Inn at Lambertville Station, Lambertville NJ |
| Despite
the winter weather, seventy individuals, representing business,
industry and education, gathered for a dynamic discussion on
the relationship of business and education. Presentations by
top experts were followed by discussion groups analyzing the
implications of the presented information on the future of education.
The outcome of the two-day affair will be a scholarly paper,
authored by experts in both business and education, presenting
the path that business and education should follow in the 21st
